Today is Holloween, which is suppose to be a good time for everyone. I saw these pictures online on social networks. Not only did this truly make me upset, it had so many comments encouraging these types of costumes. In any occasion I do not think it is ok to dress up like “minorities” as a halloween costume. Especially dressing up as someone who lost their life so young, as if it was a joking matter.

What the fuck. That is so fucked up. Never have I seen someone dress up as a white guy who was shot, if this happened it would be on the news.

On the left we have the lyrics from Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines. On the right we rape survivors participating in Project Unbreakable, showing the various things that were said to them by their rapist.

From the Mouths of Rapist: The Lyrics to Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines

for people who are like “but it’s just a song…”

I do think at times the song taken out of context is over done hooplah, but then there are those lines that really do disturb me and remind me of rape.

Preach.

Always a trap.
However, if boys have then they are glorified. If they haven’t, then they are harassed and their “masculinity” is questioned.
One’s loss of virginity should not be shamed or glorified. It’s just a sexual debut. The end.

This reminds me of one of my bestfriends. She prefers a guy with experience than a guy who hasn’t done stuff… WHY IS IT OKAY FOR A MAN AND NOT A WOMAN?

Double Standards. The struggle is real. (favorite movie ever XD)
